Hello my wife and I moved out of our home after being asked to move since the home was being sold.

On the night of the 21st day we received an email rather then a mailed or delivered itemized list of security deposit deductions.

Not only did we receive en email but there are no explanations what the invoices are for so we have guessed what they were for.

I'm trying to see if this is even a legal way to deliver an itemized list.

Thanks

Here's a link to the official State of California page regarding Security Deposits.

The requirements are quite specific.

In CA we have to provide an itemized list - unless you sign a waiver. Must be mailed. I use certified or deliver in person if on good terms and convenient.
