I did.

My apartment was the old parquet floors from 1920, I bought Bruce hardwood flooring 5 inch planks and glued it down...............................wasnt that had, but then, I can do those types of things.

I've done it too. Definitely not hard. And it looked great!

I did.

Gotcha.
My comment was in the context of rentals and expenses for tenants.
Few LL's will go for the expense of real wood.

Few will go for the expense of properly bleaching and sanding and staining and sealing an existing hardwood floor either.
