If something has happened to him (e.g. he died), his estate is required to file public notice in the papers for creditors. Check to see if there's an obituary.

BUTTERFLOY is from Jan 2012. Somehow TIN tagged on today so we're responding to him now.

for answering these ridiculous questions thrown at you. They have nothing to do with your situation.
Hopefully you've heard from you LL by now...if not, maybe he's dead, huh?

Since the OP last posted in 2012, I'm sure that his landlord has picked up the rent, or the problem has been solved by now.

Default Same question?

Im dealing with the same type of thing. My land lord has not been here to pick up rent for 3 months. When I call him he don't answer, and his mail box is always full. When I text him he won't answer. He always wants cash and never gives receipt. He has sent some one who don't speak English to pick up then his wife shows up with detective and asked if the non speaking female has been to pick up rent. And told us not to give it to her. They are in a divorce battle. Top it all off We have been having issues with the members in back who he has lied for and let them walk all over us. They have shot out my front windshield with a b b gun. Hit our house and property with there car thrown eggs at our front door. And he won't do anything. He is a slum lord won't fix anything. Over half of our plug in don't work we have wires hanging out of the ceiling a leak under the house and to top it off the place is not legal. He turned to garage into a housing unit but there is no permits or anything on file for it. Sense I started asking questions and dealing with the people in the back who he knows and is possibly related to he has been acting funny. Now I have a 3 day notice on my door to pay the 3 months or vacate. What do I do.

Well, I guess you pay the three months back rent that you didn't pay (because you weren't able to) or you vacate.

Sounds like if you vacate you've gotten 3 months rent free, so that's an economic boost and should greatly help you with move out expenses.
