The last time I had to check the backgrounds and credit reports for a tenant was 8 years ago. The company I used (Saferent) has changed significantly. So I thought I would ask for recommendations here on what you use to check credit and criminal background on a prospective tenant.

Thanks

I don't do criminal checks, but I've been very happy with Acranet which offers 3 packages for landlords. Very small cost and instant results.

I should add that Acranet also has various letters that you can generate to the applicant once the report is viewed. They are very helpful and professional looking since we are required to notify by mail, applicants that are denied.
