This is the first time I have lived with carpet through out my home. Well my 2 year old had a #2 accident right in the middle of the living room! I tried to clean it with hot sopey water and carpet cleaner, no go. I had a brown spot still. So I did some researeach and found this website
How to Remove Dog Poop from Carpets - Stains & Odor

Let's just say I will only use "OxyClean laundry spray" on my carpets from now on! The spot came right out so I cleaned up spots left by the old tenant! This stuff works great. I'm still getting the carpets cleaned but no more big brown spot! Just thought I would share with all you.

Good to know. I've always used Folex, which works great on stains.

White with flecks of light grey, they called it salt and light pepper.

My 2 year old got sick and could not make it to the restroom so she flopped down in the livingroom and cried and had a bad accident. It was horrifying for all involved.

Be careful doing this, I had a roommate use Oxyclean spray on my carpeting, and it resulted in huge white patches because the product had bleached out the carpet color. Always test a small area first!

Taraox, did you know a good carpet cleaning company can remove white spots, as long as they are not real bleach.

I've also used ammonia and water, in a 50/50 solution. Spray it down, then cover with a white towel, and then iron the towel. The stain will transfer on to the towel. Of course test a spot first, but it worked great on a spot I had tried everything on, even 3 professional carpet cleanings. There was one spot that didn't come all the way out, so I tried tons of times, and that spot is now lighter than the rest of the carpet. But looks much better than the stain did. So use carefully.
