You can move in most places with a shady
background. Try applying for a mortgage
with a bad job history or recent criminal
history. You will not qualify.
You can move anytime you want. If you can't
sell on the home your sol until someone comes
along and buys it.
More convienient for people who's jobs require a
lot of travel.
More convienient for single folks. Even if some
disagree
No permanent neighbors who have the potential to
make life unpleasant for you.
Cons of rent
Your not paying into somthing you own forever.
Otherwise known as not making your money
fully work for you.
Looked at as somthing you own until you buy
a home. Even though some rent for a lifetime.
Pros of a home
It's a true investment if looked at
correctly.
It's yours to beautify however you want.
Cons of a home
Can't choose your neighbors, so if you don't
like them your screwed.
Not as easy to relocate once you have a mortgage
to a place. So if the local economy falls under or
the neighborhood goes to waste because of careless
neighbors your screwed.
More easier to fall underwater in a home than a
apartment if your not financially literate.

better for most people and why home ownership should
be mostly for big famalies and people with children.

But that's 100% wrong depending on where you live.
Owing vs Renting is Mostly a money question.... there's a little emotional involvement as well, but it really "belongs" in a Personal Finance.
