If you have a lease, why would your apartment be "listed" anywhere? If you want to know if (and by how much) your rent will increase upon renewal you should ask your landlord. If you want to know what comparable apartments are being rented for in your area then you can easily check that out on internet listings, your local craigslist or newspaper ads. Not sure what you're asking.

Have you tried talking to your landlord?

If your lease is within 30-60 days of expiring, you'll get a notice of renewal that will have any changes being made to your lease (rent, clauses, rules, etc...)

If your unit is 'listed' anywhere, it means you'll be moving at the end of your lease (your landlord won't be renewing your lease)

A STT said, if you want to compare prices start your search on the internet and then go visit some places.

Since that time we have spent more than $10,000 on bathroom updates and about $20,000 for decorating of carpets, wallpaper and paint, etc.

FYI- You're responding to a post that is several years old. A newbie posted a question on the tail end of this mile long thread........

Taxes are NOT part of a house payment if you do not have a house payment (mortgage) and not all mortgages combine payment, taxes and ins in one.

Your upgrades are the cost of keeping the property, not paying for it. Apples and oranges.
