Many of us make the assumption that a landlord is on the up-and-up only to learn later that this was a sad mistake. When I say never trust a landlord I speak from experience. Here is just one story about a NC slumlord.

Wow, nice that the court system worked...too bad the tenant had to experience this.


Today in our local newspaper there was an article of a business man who was convicted to 10 yrs prison for taken money from elderly people for spa's and tubs and never doing anything. The court gave him an addtional 10 yrs of probation but what stood out to me was that he wasn't allowed to start a business and doing business with elderly people in the future, but shouldn't some one like that not be punished by not ever being allowed to start any business and the slumlord in the article never be allowed to ever rent to any one!
