Okay, it's a 'bucket-list' thing but my wife and I (60 & 64) are seriously considering living in Brooklyn for 6 months in the next year or so. We have visited NYC twice in recent years and fell in love with Brooklyn, especially the Park Slope/Brooklyn Heights area.

We both love aimless meandering in new areas, dining, cafeing, socialising, movies and are both pretty active.

So, demographically, are the 2 areas of Brooklyn I mention above suitable for us and if not, what areas would you recommend.

Also, and suggestions on seeking out similarly-minded people in our age bracket in the NYC area?
