Social Security is a Ponzi Scheme, and the longer we wait to fix it, the more painful it will be. There will simply not be enough workers to support the promises that have been made. And tax hikes aren't the answer either. There should be a gradual raising of the age to collect. And there should also be means testing. There is only one other way out, and that is for the govt. to print money. NO FREE LUNCH!

If we had what our grandparents had we would be well behind most nations in the world. The world has changed here there and everywhere. Part of our problem is not enough advanced degrees to compete with China and India who are cranking them out. We may have more per capita but with ten times the population they do have the advantage.

Don't want what my grandparents had, need to better and so my kids did and now it is time to nurture the grand child so she exceeds and continues the progress that is needed. Remember SHIFT HAPPENS!

Just give the czars time, this will happen.

Maybe we should be putting money into something TPTB can't "test" ?

Now compare the changes with the original and two years later and 2008. Sorry but what worked for my grandfather did not for me, my sons nor will it for my grand children. Long live advanced degrees and the movement forward and progress.
