Oh my, must check out the UW dairy store, I wonder if they ship? YUMMMMMMM

Was reading on the cod liver oil to be careful about high doses of vits A+D.........be careful out there, all.

19F out there today. The wind was howling yesterday, many thanks to the electric gods that we stayed on.

Filled my 40 pound cylinder of propane last week for 18 bucks last year it was over forty bucks, stock up, folks. It's cheap!

Don't know what the current temp is, but I'm currently sitting at an outdoor cafe overlooking the harbor in Charlotte Amalie drinking something called Island Summer Ale. (I guess in the USVI, it's always summer, lol.)

Enjoy the snow.

Ignoring relativity, don't you northerners feel too bad.
With the wind chill, it's in the high 40's. I just had to be outdoors for 2 hours and was freezing my butt off.
After all, this is SWF!!

This is why I am not planning on a hot climate. Yesterday I was out in 19 above & barely felt it. Our skins are thicker I think. So I want a milder winter but still want a resemblance of 4 seasons. In the winter is when I get crocheting done or any indoor things. The other 3 seasons I'm too busy doing outdoor things. If it was always summer, who knows when I'd get these things done?

LOL MMoB and o_c It's in the 60s in SEFl, mom is freezing but she's happy to have an excuse to get her fur out of storage USVI sounds divine.

meo, I went out to get the mail with wet hair and a sweatshirt on. It really doesn't feel that bad. I think that last harsh winter may have something to do with that, even if only psychologically.

I'm glad you like your clime, but I'm done. Next year in Palm Beach County for us, yay!

The winds have finally died down which is good news for the horses. They are tough but high winds and cold temps are a no no especially when they're older.

CC, I'm glad you found your spot. I'm still divided but researching both TN & NC. Think of it though, if we all wanted the same thing we'd be scrunched up in one spot of the world.

Nothing as far as local. It's cold for me but not freezing for crops.
Fruits and vegetables are tougher than I am

LOL o_c, your blood thins out quickly when you get to FL, doesn't it? That always amazed me.

negirl, I think the growing season down there starts after Labor Day, it's the freezes in January and February that do the damage.

Yay, my boiler man and his wife came for our bi yearly service. The antifreeze is good to 0 degrees and the thing was so clean it didn't need a vacuum. His wife is a doll, I have her some old Martha Stewart Living mags and she loved that.

Another dusting of snow last night. Easily cleared with a broom. It's a bit over freezing out, in the sun it's not so bad.

Last winter must have really toughened my hide, we've already seen some daily highs in the twenties and it still just doesn't feel that dreadful. Lined jeans, Bean boots with no socks, two tee shirts, a fleece lined hoodie and a barn coat are all I've had to put on. God willing........
