I woke up to an inch of snow this morning. That melted off and we had another really good snowfall, which was great to watch from a cozy and warm house. We got about a half inch out of that one. Now, there's not a trace of it. I know there's a couple feet of snow on the 7000 ft. mountains to the west and it's going to be really pretty to see. Still clouded in at the moment but the sun is shining pretty good on us.

I've had most of the last four days off so it's been nice. I've just been staying in and cooking ahead!

Wow. Does your part of AZ always fluctuate like this??

Isn't snow in retirement wonderful?? It's like we're kids again and don't have to drive to work in it. Nothing like being snowed-in on weekdays!

I was sad this year to pack away my scarves and mittens, etc. I was searching the attic for my tubs of summer clothes. The kids here are having a ball wearing shorts in March.

No, we've had a really mild winter this year, probably warmer than normal, so something like this doesn't really surprise me. Don't know what started this storm but it was strange. I am just glad I didn't have to get out in it. The sun is out now but the wind is downright cold. Can't wait for it to be 80 again! lol

It is snowing here nearly everyday (which is pretty rare, as latest I remember was a snow on Valentine's Day, back in the Ice Age,,, when I had that pet dinosaur)

I will admit, snow is much nicer when retired. I seem to be able to sit in the recliner and watch it snow all day. (or at least it seems to be snowing each time my eyes are actually open...)

The woodstove is happily doing its job of keeping me toasty. Eating my last serving of smoked Salmon Chowder for supper... Then I will have to MAKE something

Not quite heaven, (not that I know) but pretty nice. Currently getting those huge 'silver-dollar' snowflakes Podcast of J.S. Bach birthday bash .... whoops, I seem to be drifting off into 'dreamland' .

*clock ticking* ...... counting down to June 4th when I'm 62 and officially joining the ranks of retired people.

I've been "practicing" by waking up at dawn to coffee brewing and watching the sunrise. Knowing the rest of the day is mine to either be busy or simply kickin' back is indescribable. Yep, this retirement thing is gonna work out just fine. Life is SO good!

I agree with you there! I retired early at age 49, my wife was 34 at the time! I'm now 63 and we are still enjoying our retirement! Yes, life is SO good!

waking up is the most important part of my day,I have coffee, read newspapers (on computer) eat a couple of eggs, then I hop on my bicycle and ride about 7-10 miles, then I jump into the pool and swim about 10 laps. then I hop on my scooter and cruise down to the local club (eagles ,amvets,am.legion) and eat lunch, then I scoot home and turn on Bonanza on the tvland channel and take a nap. my evenings are always open for what ever pops up.
