I believe that when you get the money, for both SSDI and SS, is connected to your birthdate so it would not change.

I thought the pay date would change, however a friend has been on disability insurance for the past 10 years and turned 65 in June of this year. His ss continues to arrive on the 3rd of the month whereas my ss retirement is on the 4th Wednesday of the month since my birthdate is late in the month. His birthday is also late in the month so I thought he would also be changed to the 4th Wednesday.

Perhaps he has been on disability for 20 years. Or his case is somehow exceptional?
