61 in fair shape do take bp medication and statins at lowest levels so bp and cholesterol are under control. Family has a history of heart issues related to calcification of arteries which I have inherited. No stents or bypass at the moment but is probably in my future.
Exercise with walks daily, diet could be better as well as stress management. Retirement in one year which I’m determined to do better in taking care of health.
64 years old, female. Health is good, no medications other than otc stuff as needed. Slightly overweight, but that’s been a lifelong issue. Maybe I drink a tad bit more than I should.
Hubby just beat bladder cancer after a long 3 year battle, and we are very aware of our mortality, and pretty much having the time of our lives. Been with this guy for 43 years, I intend to enjoy him and life while we are both able.
I'm 69, I take no prescription drugs and I walk 10,000 steps a day. I have a cardiologist for a valve issue I was born with. My husband is 72 and takes a statin and walks 18 holes twice a week. Knock on wood.
Left shoulder area: torn rotator cuff, completely degenerated glenoid labrum with bone-on-bone contact, torn biceps tendon (long head).
Right forearm from the triceps tendon in back of the elbow up to the wrist feels like there's broken glass inside. Even writing my name is difficult, or rubbing a bar of soap along a washcloth. Specific diagnosis(es) unknown.
I attribute these musculoskeletal issues to over four decades of regular weightlifting, from age 26 until late 60s.
Early 60's, fairly good health. I won't say anymore without having some wood to knock on digitally. I exercise regularly (walking and exercises for back and knee). Been losing a bit of weight (gained 20 pounds in the last 4 years since I was widowed.) My volunteer work (3 x a week) involves a lot of activity.
