PBS has had some wonderful videos of Ireland. And I've seen a few movies that were filmed in Ireland. It's beautiful country.

My father was born in England and I recall the hatred between the two countries. I never really understood it back then but did read about it in school.

Mom's parents were born in Wales and I would enjoy visiting that country, too.

That is about it for me.

You need to visit the Oregon Coast. Do it after Labor Day, but before October. It is a beautiful place, and it stretches the length of the state.

We are within driving distance to British Columbia. I’d like to visit Vancouver, B.C. and perhaps the surrounding countryside as well. I’ve visited Victoria. Would not mind going back.

I’m thinking of New Orleans, Washington D? c. I was there a long time ago, but my husband has not been there. After our trip to Maine, he finally knew there another coast.

Why is this topic in the retirement forum rather than the travel forum?

October is my favorite time to visit OR and WA coast (mild weather, no crowds, Fall colors, and EXCELLENT 'red' sunsets (from summer dust and smoke)

When on the left coast of USA.. Travel southbound for safe viewing (not cutting across traffic to see viewpoints)
