It's mid-April, so it's that time of the year.

I think I'm done on CD, but would like to know what became of KathrynAragon. She was buying a house & moving to Ohio, then became *Not A Member*. I really wanted to know how her move turned out. She had been a forum member for many years.

Anyway, I didn't know where to post this w/o being *off topic*.

Ski season is over for me. Some die-hards will continue skiing @ Snowbird for another month or two until they close, but it is time to head south to the warmth of Las Vegas.

Not a bad season

Days skiing: 106
Vertical feet: 1,171,428
Distance: 1,355.4 miles

I would have and another 10 days or so but I had a tumble in January and took some time off. An X-Ray and subsequent MRI said I broke my leg in two places - one on the outside ankle bone where a ligament pulled off a piece of bone. The doctor said to think of it more as a severe sprain. The second break was minor and near my tibial plateau.

I asked how long until I could ski; the Orthopedist said, "you'll probably not do any more damage to it, so whenever you can tolerate the pain of jamming your foot back into your ski boot you're good to go. Just don't do anything stupid." I took about 10 days off before I started skiing again, being unusually careful.

Any time you can break your leg and not need surgery is a good day!!!

I broke my kneecap 12/12/2022 and my ortho gave me a choice of surgery/no surgery. I am not good at recovering from surgeries and I took no surgery. Lots of PT though. Same knee that was crushed by an SUV in 12/19/2005. Hurt. Pain. But, without surgery I decided to get by on Extra Strength Tylenol. No vicodin. In 10/2016 when I broke my right arm/wrist and had to have surgery I was on almost 200 vicodin in 3 weeks plus I had to keep it iced 100% of the time it was so bad. On these ortho surgeries there's lots of metal screws, pins, plates, rods (not sure if that's what makes the most difference).

I could use an Exoskeleton. Or, like a skeletal replacement...

I think Mogul should quit while he's ahead. It's better to be able to walk and do normal things than try to be some extreme athlete closing in on 70. Just throwing that out there. I mean, how about snowshoeing? or maybe cross country at most? You do not need to break your neck to prove anything at this point in life. Have you done a risk assessment?

Walking in a rigid ski boot is difficult & painful, but once I'm on the snow, it's all good.
That x-ray says "2006" did you break it twice?
