I can’t imagine being bored in retirement!! (We’ve been retired now for almost 20years)
Bored in a 9-5 job I can imagine — but you’re free in retirement to do whatever you want!

Well, if what one wants to do is work, then not working would be boring, hypothetically.

But retirement doesn’t have to mean and usually doesn’t mean “not working.”
Working can take various forms in retirement— volunteering, gardening, hobbies, teaching, investing,
learning new skills, traveling, etc etc

Not by C-D 'retirement rules' definition

What To Do In Retirement
NO 'working' or mention of such is allowed.

Sit at home tracking your direct deposits and counting your coins several times / day (Scrooge McDuck)

...report all general threads as off topic since they don't meet the C-D 'retirement rules' definition (is adequate activity for some)

"What to do in retirement?"

Keep yourself busy.

Leisure is lethal.

The thread title is misleading, to say the least.

I hope that was intended as a joke.

When people ask me "how do you keep yourself busy?",
my answer is "I'm enjoying not having to be busy."

Same - I can't imagine having to be busy. But then what does that mean? Can watching Hallmark movies be considered busy??
