Looks like massages aren't too popular among us retirees, LOL. I've never even thought about it since I lost my beach body - and my lovers! Maybe I should. After all, they're being paid to do it.
I voted "Other"-- when I was working, I used to get a massage every other Friday afternoon. I loved it. But I can't afford it now, so the only massages I get are when someone gifts me one. :-(
I found a wonderful massage therapist when recovering from shoulder surgery and other injuries that led to later surgeries. She really helped me in a really tough period of my life. The massage made a real difference when I was going through really painful physical therapy and beyond. The impact was beyond what I had imagined I might get from massage. I have not gone back recently but this thread reminds me to make an appointment.
When I was working I got one monthly once I lost my secretary and had to type my own reports. My neck would get so tight and sore. I get one a year now because they cost 105 for a hour plus tip. It’s really helpful for my neck and back pain.

I had some massage in physical therapy treating a shoulder impingement, and it was absolute torture. I know you are not talking about that kind, but still, count me as not interested.
Never had one, all a bit seedy, especially the happy endings thing.
There are different types of massage options. If you are going to a massage parlor with some shady business - that's something entirely different. I don't think that's what we are talking about. My own massage therapist is very highly trained in the local medical school and knew more about how to help with my injuries, help break the scar tissue and get an increased range of motion in my shoulder than my physical therapist. My wife goes to her as well - and it was she who suggested that I might want to give it a try.
