People in North Carolina stopped looking for jobs at a dramatic rate over the course of 2013. Since the unemployment rate is the number of unemployed divided by the size of the labor force, and since the labor force only includes people looking for jobs, the unemployment rate fell.

cite please? Either way, that does not prove your point. We need to know why those people stopped looking (did they find new job, give up, move or retire?). It does not make sense that one would give up looking after losing the benefits, most would go find a job (any job) right away.

There are three jobs for each job seeker. It is actually far from guaranteed that one will find a job simply because they are seeking it out. This should be common knowledge by now.

Tell me how does saying that the CITY of Providence has a high illegal population (in a thread about the CITY'slow median income) conflict with the reason given for the STATE of NC's higher illegal population than the STATE of RI?
Is it the grammar that you struggle with? Are the sentences too long, or is the topic just too complex for you? I would think that one with any kind of intelligence or education could understand the differences between these things. Quit trying to bait trouble and get back on topic (or perhaps refrain from posting).

No it is not easy to find a job now (especially in RI). I'm not really sure what your point is, or how it relates to RI vs. NC or the RI Governor's Race. You've totally lost me.
