I totally agree. If appropriate, in use year-round development happens near the station--and I think it will--I think it it will be a shot in the arm. But I don't see much point in dwelling on the negative events of the recent past.
I am bullish on Pawtucket's future, even though it has taken some knocks recently. While it's not Providence, it's going to be a shorter train ride for Boston commuters. and I'll never understand why they built Wickford Junction before putting in a stop in Pawtucket.

6 nice, if risky, high minded proposals. If any one makes it past the drawing board, it will be a good thing for beleaguered Pawtucket. The successful one (or more) would be with the ones with the most private money behind it. Frankly, Pawtucket has so little political juice in the state house, any public assistance will be token.

Well jeez, 6 proposals and we still are negative? In any other state, this would have been seen totally positively.

Now, let's not act like we were born yesterday. As you point out, this is our beloved Rhode Island. If one of those 6 proposals come to full fruition, we'll be dancing in the streets.
None of the six proposals at first blush seem all that great.
And what would you be expecting?
