New year is not off to a good start, folks. First a man was shot on Reservoir Ave. last night, just before midnight. Not much information yet, other than that the victim was shot in the stomach area.
And later that night (early Friday morning), a 24-year-old man was shot near the problematic 7/11 on Smith St.. As those of you following this forum know, that corner has been the site of multiple shootings and stabbings in recent years. In this incident, a "suspect is in custody" after victim pointed to the alleged perp as police arrived on scene.
In what police believe to have started as an armed robbery, last night a driver was shot inside their vehicle at the corner of March St. and Suffolk St.. That is of course right by the notorious CHAD BROWN projects.
Car shot at with driver inside in Providence, police say
I'm confused. Is this a post about the Chad Brown projects or Reservoir Ave? Because they're nowhere near each other and have no relationship to each other
Another rough Saturday night in Providence, with two separate shootings and two people stabbed.
The first shooting apparently happened around 5pm. It was then after police responded to a call for shots fired, they found a shell casing at the corner of Hamilton and Mitchell St. in the Elmwood section of South Providence. This is a block from the ELMWOOD HISTORIC DISTRICT.
Then later that night, a male in his 20s was was treated at Miriam after being shot at while sitting in his vehicle at the corner of Evergreen and Camp St.. This is in the Mt. Hope section of the city's East Side.
As for stabbings, in the first incident (shortly after midnight) a man was stabbed following an altercation at the corner of Elmwood and Parkis Ave.. This is also in the Elmwood section of South Providence, and a block from LONG LIVE BEERWORKS.
And then of course, Providence can't finish off a weekend night without a stabbing at Kennedy Plaza. Where around 3am, a man in his SEVENTIES was stabbed with an ice pick and had his wallet taken..
Please stop. This is the stuff that drives people away. You can't defend it on any level. It has nothing to do with your so called desire to inform people of unsafe areas and everything to do with your desire to act smug and superior, and is demeaning to women in the process and shows an appalling lack of decency.
Please note, I didn't tell you what to do. I asked nicely. It's garbage.
You think you're so clever but all you achieved is people roll their eyes and stop reading your post.
I’d still love to know the crap hole place he lives where he needs to compensate by pointing out places that are worse. It’s Southern New England. You don’t have to go far in Southern New England to find blight.

Indeed. I don't think he realizes, we realize, the obvious fetish pleasure he takes in crime trashing struggling neighborhoods in Rhode Island.

Maybe its that, but in reality, it seems they are really into the sex and drug trade. Like, REALLY into it.
I prefer books and records, but whatever.
