It should also be noted that all 3 of the murder suspects were caught within 3 days.

Thank you for the detailed reminder.

What I find interesting is that GoLocalProv didn't cover any of this. All of the other local media outlets had multiple articles for each incident.

Is GoLocal no longer covering crime?

^ Spoke too soon. GoLocal just posted an article about a shooting in Washington Park (near Roger Williams Park). I'll post the details in the Providence Violence thread.

You are deliberately pretending to be unaware. As you are well aware, I was born in RI and have always lived here. I'm not the only one. Redplum spent years living elsewhere, I believe. That's why "you two" don't seem to recall the most notorious RI murder of all?

Still seems very low in detail considering what we were accustomed to from them in the past, and I feel like they are missing a lot of shootings, etc. including these three you referenced.

So you did attend BU, or did you not attend BU?

You understand we primarily discuss current events here, right? Want to start a thread about RI history, go ahead. It's not going to change the current reality, however.

Please correct me if I am missing one or two, but here is the count I have for 2023 murders in RI:

Providence 10

Pawtucket 5

Johnston 2

Woonsocket 1

Central Falls 1

Coventry 1

Warren 1

Cumberland 1

Portsmouth 1

To cherry pick something that happened in the 1980s or whenever as some sort of contradiction that violent crime isn't heavily biased towards low income/inner city areas, is the biggest crock of "you know what" to have graced this forum for as long as I can recall. YES that is saying an awful lot!

^Those numbers do not lie, and shame on anybody who continues to push this nonsense.

Correction. Providence has had 11 homicides, not 10.

Are we now ready to discuss where in the city those murders occurred?
