Doubt I need to remind anybody how nothing says South Providence more than a 15-year-old Nissan Altima with a cracked bumper, illegal tint, and a missing fender or two. But it looks like the long time favorite of the 'hood is going bye bye.

Nissan Altima Will Speed Into the Sunset in 2025: Report

What do you folks think is the best candidate to take its spot? Hyundai Sonata? Some Chrysler product???

Maybe one of Caddy's two new SUV models. The Fusilade and its smaller sibling, the Enfilade. Their panels are said to be reinforced with kevlar for added protection.

Can you tell me what kind of car you drive, so I can avoid being mistaken for someone as judgmental and snobby as you?

I know. He goes to so much trouble to try to feel superior. He doesn't even have enough self-awareness to know what the whole exercise actually says about himself.

Ok, then let me rephrase. If Nissans are viewed as the car of gangsters (unlikely, imo), what is seen as the car of people who think they're better than everyone else?

Subaru? Volvo? BMW? Something else?

Something you'd find proletarian and boring, no doubt.

You'd stop me at the border to your town and turn me back

Also it's interesting that what you drive is "none of my business".

But what people in South Providence drive is so interesting to you that you created a thread for it. Double standard?

I still maintain that the bangers prefer black SUVs.

You do see a lot of Nissan Altimas in the hood, though. But they're not necessarily the bangers.

Back when the Southeast Asian gangs dominated Smith Hill (and the West End), their vehicle of choice was the Nissan Maxima.

I don't know how many times I need to say this, but I've never implied that it's the big time bangers driving the Altimas. Old beat up Altimas are a favorite of low level thugs and other hood dwellers, of course the prior group typically drives the black SUVs.
