I can't speak to working in North Providence, but the neighborhoods of N. Providence along the Providence line are very nice. Safe, clean and quiet. Fruit Hill and High Service Road in NP are some of the best areas in the metro area to live. Perhaps a bit more upmarket and urbane than the rest of town.
