...the West End or the Far West End? Just curious. We are moving to a place right off of 295, then Rt 33 and I don't know what that is referred to.

Thanks!

Neither. West End basically ends at the Henrico-Richmond border. Far West Ends ends near Short Pump. Parts of Glen Allen are and many are pushing for 33 up to 295 to be part of FWE (but in truthfulness it probably ends at Nuchlols Rd). Naming it would probably br Far Noth Side.

Here's a wiki entry that lists a lot of these areas and gives the cross roads for them. Funny they didn't mention the Riva!

You are north of Glen Allen near the Hanover border. There is no special name yet.

We'll give you directions when you get here. We'll probably tell you how to get to Nonna's Pizzaria first.

There is an old hamlet named Glen Allen off Mountain Road. [Link: Glen Allen, VA - Google Maps ] And there is a swath of northern Henrico County that has recently come to be called Glen Allen.

The latter includes postal addresses from Virginia Center Commons/The Crossings golf course at I-95 just south of Sliding Hill Road almost all the way out to Innsbrook. Very confusing if you don't "know Richmond."

The latter "Glen Allen" has also become a convenient catch-all for almost anything west (and/or north) of Broad and Parham that's not called Innsbrook, Wyndham, or Short Pump.

Go figure.
