Does anyone know anything about Richmond Road Runners? I'm training for my first marathon in October, and I'd love to find someone to run with. Since I'm just moving to the area, I figure it might be a good way to meet some people, too.

There's a running store in Carytown - Roadrunner Running Store

I'm sure they'll have info on it.

Runner Bills in Midlothian is also great if you are in that area! Sportsbackers have lots of marathon/1/2 and 10K training groups. Another place to hook up with folks.

Thanks for the suggestions of Runner Bills and Sportsbackers! I'm excited that Richmond seems to have a good running community!

I almost did sign up for the Suntrust Marathon before I was even going to move, but I decided on the Chicago Marathon in October instead. I think I may volunteer at the Richmond marathon, though (assuming I'll have recovered enough to be able to walk by then!)
