Given the city's disproportionate burden of the region's poverty... that's not bad, IMO.

I was born and raised in Roanoke, and lived in the Richmond area for over twenty-five years. I wouldn't like living IN Richmond City proper, but I'll take the surrounding counties of Chesterfield or Henrico over Roanoke. Nothing against Richmond City; I just don't like living directly in any city.

Can someone explain to me Richmond "culture"? I've lived here my whole life, 23 years, and I'm having a hard time seeing any "culture" here.

Seriously?????! Wow. I see around 20 or so... Give or take. From CCV old ladies to Mixtecs. Granted I'm looking at things from the perspective of living in the city, but even the suburbs have more than nothing

Richmond has the most interesting and least douchy people in the commonwealth. It's an easy place to have a good time and you will have access to everything that you need without the hassle of having to fight traffic and long lines to get it.
Curious if OLD CROW MEDICINE SHOW would be a popular band in Richmond, and if any of the local music would be similar. I absolutely love the music of OCMS.
