I have Verizon and I live in a rural area. I haven't had any problems with Verizon at all out here or in the city.

Verizon is good. I have Cingular/AT&T, and haven't had any trouble at all.

I'm moving to Richmond and plan to keep my Verizon wireless service once there. During my visits I haven't had any problems.

Avoid Ntelos and go with one of the larger companies.

I've been with AT&T since they were SunCom and love it. To me they have the best game in town with the rollover deal. Good luck and God Bless.

I have At&t/Cingular and it works great for me. As to what to avoid, I have more than one friend who had sprint and hated the service. So I would avoid them. Other family memebrs of mine have verizon and they have no problems. Verizon is especially good if you plan to travel out of the city to rural areas.

What does the law say about cell phones and driving? Do you have to have a hands-free setup? Starting in July, it's illegal to drive and talk on your cell in CA without a headset or speaker....

They've made it illigal for teens to drive while talking on a cell phone, but it's still fine for adults.
