I'm planning on moving to Virginia after next year when I graduate college. I would like to settle in a town on or near a body of water. The only town I came across was Clarksville, VA. Are there any other town like Clarksville but not as secluded? If there aren't, what towns near a body of water would be another option? I'm looking for a town with a good school district, great stores and restaurants, a business district with ma & pa shops. I'd prefer to be somewhere between the Richmond, VA area and Virginia Beach.

When you say body of water, are we talking a lake, reservoir, river, ... That info might help with a bit more recommendations.
