Baby day-care / Pre-School (Richmond: apartment, rent, day care)

Any good baby day care/pre-school in Richmond?

You need to be specific about location. I know some wonderful ones in the Far West End, but that may not be helpful if you live in Midlothian. Also, there is a difference in my mind between day care (I generally think of it as a place your child is when there is no parent at home that will include preschool curriculum) and preschool (which I tend to think of as a part day social/education opportunity for children 2-5). Also, are you looking for a secular or church based program or don't you care (more important for preschool than daycare).

Thanks for your anwers and I'm sorry for not being clear. Here is my situation:

I have two kids, one is 1.2 year old and the other 2.5 years old, they have been in baby day care schools since they were 2 months old so they are very sociable and smart.
What I'm really looking for is a place where kids can be taught (not just put them in front of the TV all day long), you know, early learning/stimulation.

P.S. We will rent an apartment in the Fan, but distance is not important, we will go whereever the institution is located (good education is very improtant for us).

Patterson Avenue Child Care Center. It is off of Patterson Avenue. It is associated with the Adventist church that sits right next door, called Patterson Avenue Seventh-Day Adventist Church. I went to the church school, which is actually on the other side of the church, from Kindergarten through 9th grade. When I first started there, my mother was sad that both her kids were in school and she wanted to be around us, so she proposed starting a child care center in the school. She ended up doing that, and then they bought the house next to the church and moved it there. She started it and ran it for several years, and it is now in the care of one of her best friends. I spent a lot of hours after school there and I know people that send their kids there and have only good things to say about it!
