Hi,

We are a young family of four looking to relocate to the Richmond area from Florida. We are looking to rent a 2 bedroom apartment for under $1000 in a safe suburb of the city. As new transplants we would want to feel things out for abit before we jumped into a home so we figure thats the best option for us. I know apartment living is not ideal for families but there has to be some communities that are family friendly right? We are actively looking for work so we can relocate next month! We'd like to be near good public schools since education is very important to us. The ideal location would be 30-45 mins from the city in a family oriented suburb with good schools. We'd like to have our children stay in the same school once we buy a home as well. We like the outdoors so trails and parks nearby would be awesome! Well I'm hoping for any info! Thanks for your time!

Look into the apartments in Rivers bend in Chester. Zoned Enon Elementary, Elizabeth Davis Middle and Thomas Dale. While not technically a part of the neighborhood and unable to utilize the facilities, you can take evening walks around the neighborhood. Plus there is easy access to the city via i95. I can make it to the city in about 20 minutes with no tolls!
