Hello all within the next 2 years or so myself and my fiance (wife when we move) will be looking to relocate to the richmond area. What can you tell me about chesterfield neighboorhoods specifically the brandermill area? We are looking to settle down. No need for nightlife or anything like that. Nice place to plant some roots and maybe have kids one day. I am open to suggestions on other areas of richmond as well, but would prefer more suburban living.

From one Hokie to another, an early welcome to the Richmond area!

Brandermill is located in the right off highway 360, at the route 288 intersection. Location-wise, it is very convenient to get to many Areas of Richmond. Some commutes at require tolls though, so you will want to factor that cost in to any decisions.

Brandermillwas one of, if not the, first master planned community is Chesterfield. The homes are older and span a variety of styles and price points. Some will require updating.

Midlothian is definitely a popular part of the County, but if you research my posts, you will see I also encourage folks to look into the eastern part of the county to include Chester. Let us know what is important in lifestyle to you and your fiancée and the forum will probably be able to come up with some additional recommendations for you.

Good luck in planning your move!
