You gain a ton of charm but give up proximity to chain stores. Although I guess Willow Lawn is pretty close. Certainly a nice option.

Takes me literally 2 minutes door to door to willow lawn often, 4 minutes if I miss the light, from the Museum District. And supermarkets/petco carytown etc. are right there. I can see avoiding it for certain school reasons, but not otherwise.

LOL, I guess traffic is all relative. Nothing in RVA comes close to huge cities... then again, that's the reason some of us move here!

yep. All our discussions of traffic here are relative to RVA. By NOVA standards, there is no traffic anywhere in Richmond currently. At any time of day.
