Hi All, We recently moved from Virginia Beach To Chester.
We are starting to learn the area and explore.
Aside from the big box places - What are some great local restaurants?

Croakers Spot in Petersburg has great soul food -- excellent seafood -- well worth visiting.

Croaker's Spot is excellent; if you don't quite have the time to head down to Old Towne Petersburg, there are Mr. B's and Kobi's right in Chester (smaller range of choices, but also significantly lower prices). If you do have the time, I recommend The Brickhouse Run (English-style pub) up the alley from Croaker's Spot as well.

Also back along Rt. 10 are Swagat (Indian; it's up by the Courthouse, so it has a Chesterfield address), Bangkok Thai, and Antonio's/Cesare's (Italian; same owners/menu, with Antonio's being in the western part of Chester and Cesare's over by River's Bend). Howlett's has solid sit-down American fare; for a special occasion, head up Rt. 1 to the Half Way House. The Boathouse at City Point over in Hopewell is another good seafood option.

No, that one's still around, too. The Petersburg location upgraded with a move to the historic Farmer's Market building last summer.
