How are career opportunities for School Counselors and Electricians for this general area of Rochester? Also, reading that most schools are great in tht area how much are homes and taxes.

I have heard that living on the boarder of Wayne county towards the Rochester is cheaper, really nice and your 20 minutes from the city of Rochester and the nice areas. Is this true??
Thanks

Looking for great schools, neighborhood, great medical care and many places for kids. THe whole packge EXCEPT TAXES AND EXPENSIVE HOMES> My taxes for a 3000 sq ft home with garage and pool is $9000.

Looking for a better quality of life and cheap taxes with new or relatively new home around 300,000. Is this possible there???

Taxes are high here; no doubt about it. They are lower in Wayne and Ontario Counties however. It sounds like you are coming from another area of the northeast that also has high taxes; if that is the case; the home prices around here will definitely be more reasonable. $300,000 will buy you a beutiful, large, and if you wish, brand new house; taxes will still probably be around $9000 but as CK has pointed out, they can vary greatly depending on where you buy.
