I am a little late responding to this as I am just now watching this show but Fairhope is your closest bet but Daphne does have many events as well and the original town is very sweet but one of the towns mentioned was Lillian and it is on the Alabama Florida border and extremely small town! Probably exactly what you are looking for and no more than 10 miles from Pensacola, FL. Oh and I am from Mobile.

Funny how no one mentions KY because it's chock full of quaint towns with lovely downtowns that do all kinds of festivals. This is Greenville. They have different bands playing in the town square during summer along with other festivities. It also has low crime, low home values, and tons of Southern charm.

I love the bluebell Alabama setting, wish a real place like it existed, I'd move there in a heart beat.

How about Springville, AL? Anyone been there? Is it Mayberry-esque?

Looking for a small town like stars hollow or blue bell Alabama in Oklahoma or New Mexico, or Colorado? Any ideals or suggestions. Small less than 2000 population in.

It's not going to be in AL or MS, and it's sure not Fairhope. I'm from that area - Fairhope is mostly retirees, and expensive, little, touristy shops..
