Post your land properly, spend some money, buy more cameras. Set them up 10' off the ground facing down on a 45 angle. Set up some dummy cams low to the ground with the real one hidden above.
Once you have a few pics of this clown go straight to the police. Do not talk to neighbor. Go to police, and explain you do not want trespassers anymore. Show them the proof of neighbor, and they will go to his house and issue him a fine.
One of the unpleasantries of property ownership especially when you hunt it.

I called the DNR Game Warden who met me some weeks ago to look at the deer stand left on my property. We discussed options including him and I going to the neighboring home where the perp's father lives (don't know that the adult son lives there or not).
The warden first suggested my turning over the camera as evidence so he could handle the situation. I asked him if I could return the camera to the perp in his presence to observe the exchange.
My thoughts were that might make for better future relations with the neighbor yet still gain compliance through the fact the warden witnessed the exchange.
Being a new warden he said he would check with his SGT warden then get back to me.
Just so happens I did return to the property this past weekend and continued the posting of signs along the property line. Also brought along and set up a few more game cameras using my climber to get both up high enough out of reach. I did also think about buying a few dummy cameras off ebay as decoys and doing as you described.
Thanks
