Billions of our tax dollars are being pilfered every day at the highest levels of government in order to make the richest 1% of our country a little bit richer, and people want to ***** about something as trivial as this? Give me a break. Was it dumb? Sure. But not nearly as dumb as being outraged about it. These are the true heroes of the world, the guys that save lives and put their lives on the line on a daily basis. Cut them some slack.

Ya you're right while all the other firefighters are racing to get in the truck that isn't there, someone can volunteer to text the chief while he's gettin it on with some chick. I'm sure he'd pull out and race back to the station in no time. He's definitely the guy I want coming to save my grandpa as he's going into a diabetic coma. I'm sure u would be cool with that if it was your house that was on fire, and your children were screaming for u to come save them through the inferno...no big deal.

Everyone's in agreement here that it was bad behavior. What it isn't is the shocking scandal you and the reporters are trying to force it to be. And I'm not sure you understand how either film production or emergency response work, if you think A) that anyone is actually having sex while filming a scene, outside of honest-to-god porn, and B) that there's some significant extra effort required to alert on-call or off-site emergency responders to emergencies. Have you never heard of dispatch? It's not all ringing bells and fire poles like you see in a TV show.

Very poor judgment, and he should be properly disciplined along with whomever else in his department participated &/or supported. ANY public servant who abuses their power at the taxpayers expense, including all the IRS peeps who participated in the training videos (Star Trek, etc), should be canned.

The Channel 13 story is yet another lame attempt to pander to Tea Party types with manufactured outrage at unionized employees doing something.
FAIL! Nobody cares...
