Ranked #47 best high school in the US in the 2015 US News & World Report ranking of high schools. Of course, other local schools didn't fare nearly so well.

The national ranking of some other local schools:

West Campus High School in Sacramento #426.
Granite Bay High #462.
Davis Senior High #522.
Woodcreek High School in Roseville #937.
Folsom High School #951.
Oak Ridge High in El Dorado Hills #1031. (I'm always amused to note that this school is located on Harvard Way. Perhaps they should rename the street to Hubris Way.)

Yes, when you compare a college prep charter school to a standard public school (even a highly rated school), it will likely rank higher because, well, all the students are college prep students and the school can pick and choose the attendees. Congrats to Western Sierra Collegiate Academy for the high ranking.

Sounds like an apple to orange comparison.

Still good info. Thanks for reporting.

This would be good info to be included in a stickie post about good things in the region.
