Hey All,

Does anyone know where you can get a propane bbq tank refilled? I am in the Citrus Heights area near sunrise and madison. None of the gas stations in my area refill propane tanks. I dont want to swap it out. I just want it refilled.

Thanks!

I didn't know that people would still refill tanks on the spot... BBQ's Galore just charges me a fee to trade my current tank for a full one. Recently a new gas station opened up 2 mins away with a Blue Rhino propane station, and it's just 20 bucks to swap mine for their full one.

Is there a reason you need to have yours filled instead of just swapping it out?

I just did a search and the closes one who appears to refill is Ferrelgas in Elk Grove...

Check out some RV place or a place that sells RV supplies.

Typically it is cheaper to have it filled. Usually around $10. Looks like I will have to spend a few hours driving around. Thanks for the suggestions!

Heh... you do realize that gas is sorta spendy these days ya? I can't help but joke at the irony of using fuel to go hunt for fuel...

We fill up our RV tanks at a place in Roseville on Douglas Blvd close to Sierra College.

If you take you empty propane tank to Lowe's at the corner of Greenback and Sunrise, you can exchange it for a filled propane tank. They have the filled tanks locked up outside of the store. Check with the information desk inside and they will send someone outside to help you.

FYI, I believe that Home Depot also does this.

Default Propane Tank Refills

Hey,

Have you heard of that home delivery service?
You call 1-888-33-GRILL,they will deliver a new
filled tank and pick-up your old tank for about $20.00.
It's true, I ordered and they delivered the next day!
I guess they service all over Sacramento.
