I don't know much about the area. But it is not far from Elk Grove where there are some gangs?

Florin is an east-west street that goes through some of the best and some of the worst areas in Sacramento. The area known as "Florin" is on the east end and NOT a good area. Elk Grove is much higher-end than Florin. I lived in Sac about four years ago and the gang/crime problem was much worse in Florin. But things could change in four years.

Everywhere has gangs. Gangs are not the first thing I think of when thinking about Elk Grove. Florin is a community in Sacramento County. Florin is worse than Elk Grove by far. Elk Grove is nice as a whole but has some bad houses that are sprinkled in everywhere.

Are there gangs??? YES! Florin Road is gang central, it's terribly run down and the big ghetto of Sacramento. If you are watching the news and they say there was a shooting - it probably was on Florin Road.
