Don't buy in a flood plain. West Salem is probably the best area now, but the bridge is a *****. Although that's subjective. If you are coming from an area with a large population and heavy commuter traffic it's a piece of cake. South Salem has some good areas. I would not Buy near a park because of our increasing homeless population.
