I will be making a cross country move later this week. SLC will be one of the planned stops. I'd be arriving between 8-10 PM.

I need a recommendation for a safe hotel to spend the night, a place where a moving truck full of my possesions will be safe over night.

Any suggestions or comments would be welcomed and appreciated!

Where are you heading? Will you be on I-80? How far from the freeway do you wish to be? Will you need a pet friendly hotel?

I will be heading West on I-80.The distance from the Interstate is not as important as safety. No pets.

Thanks for the reply.

In Tooele County, (exit 99 off of I-80) there are several hotels. One is a little local hotel that many truckers use. It is located across the street from McDonalds and is always busy. Plenty of truck parking for your moving van. Further on down the road is a Holiday Inn Express and a Best Western. I have never heard of any incidents at any one of those hotels. Your belongings will be safe there.

Safe travels!

Just off I-80, exit at w 600 s (one way street eastbound). There are lots of motels there - everything from Motel 6 to the Hilton. w 500 s (1 block north) is a one way street westbound to get back on I-80. You will find motels on both streets.

Any comments on the Little America Hotel or the Crystal Inn?

Little America is wonderful but expensive. Their Thanksgiving buffet is about $35/person and worth every penny! Not that you will be here then, but just sayin....

Either one of those are awesome hotels. Little America is very top notch though, so be prepared to fork over the bucks!

The Hotel Monaco is also an incredible hotel, but again, it will cost you some money.
