Hello everyone!
I am new to Utah and in the process of finding a job. Most jobs seem to be in Salt Lake City so I am wondering what the best ways are to commute from Perry to Salt Lake.

I could also drive to Brigham or Ogden and take public transport from there but am not sure how easy it is. A first google maps search told me it would take over 2 hours which would be insane.

Thanks for helping me!

Eric

P.S.: If anyone has an idea about finding a job (language skills) please let me know. You can send me a private message too.

I know local geography pretty well and I have never heard of Perry. What kind of job would you look for?

Perry is 5min south of Brigham City. You should come here and enjoy Perry city

And preferably jobs where I can use my language skills of fluent German and French.

You should work in Ogden. Salt Lake is too far.

That doesn't answer my question but I agree Salt Lake is far.

So anyone driving that way and can answer?

I-15 is much better now that FR and Legacy were put in. But its still a bear. I would imagine in the winter it would stink.

FR runs from Ogden to SLC (and soon to Provo) but it stops several times. I think it took me 1.5 hrs to get from SLC to Ogden on the FrontRunner train.

There has got to be language skills jobs in Ogden.

Enjoy Willard Bay!

Thanks for the information. I will try Ogden first and hope I will find something. If not I guess I'll have to drive to Salt Lake.

I live near Ogden and drive to work in Corinne, beyond Perry. My drive is 1/2 hr. In the winter it is much longer and the amount of accidents near Willard lengthen my drive time almost daily.

I dont know what work you would find in Ogden, if you had Spanish speaking skills it would be no problem to find work in Ogden. But French and German? I dont know but I imagine you could find work easier in Salt Lake with those skills.

Perry to Salt Lake is a long drive, at least an hour in the most ideal traffic conditions.

I saw no job openings for translations at the LDS church. Well I may just find "any" not too bad job to start with
