We are moving to Hill AFB this summer and are looking at houses all around the area...found a nice one in North Salt Lake next to the golf course but a little concerned about traffic to Hill AFB? Hoping we'll be going the opposite direction from most of the traffic.

Have three boys and a dog, hoping to pay $1500-$2000/month for rent... any suggestions?

Thanks!

Depends on the time of day. I worked in North Ogden for years, and lived in SLC.
If I went 15 minutes later than when I usually get going, I am *up the creek*.
You have to find that *perfect* time slot, and stick with it.
From SLC, to HAFB, there are two major ways to get there.
See which one suits you the best, and use the alternate route when I-15 locks up due to an accident or something.

I live in the the area where I-215, turns east, and thus have easy access to I-215. From there north to I-15 and then all the way to North Ogden.
Average commute time was 55 minutes, with *flowing traffic*. In winter it added about 15 minutes because of snow conditions.
If I remember right, the distance *door to door* was 58 miles.
I left home, around 05:45. Go home around 15:30.
Keep in mind, I have not done that daily trip for about 8 years now ...
I honestly think that my route was *against traffic* !
