Yup here it comes again. The only weather guy I trust says we're heading back into an inversion for next week. Oh well....breathe fast while you still can.

Does this problem happen every year, or is this year worse? I don't remember hearing about this other years. Obviously if its this severe this year. Then I would think people with serious respitory problems would have to leave. At least for awhile anyway or stay inside all the time. I'm not sure if staying inside, completely takes care of the problem when its this bad.

I have been staying indoors and it's getting old. This break of not having to put on a mask has been so nice. I have to use air purifiers, special air filters but yes I still have symptoms. Bluntly put it's hell.

Be thankful SLC is not sitting in the shadows of mountains like the Andes, like smoggy Santiago in Chile, where the mountains shoot up to over 22,000 feet!

A great opinion piece from a doctor in SLC.

Kious: Air pollution can kill you

This is all very depressing. I'm considering just staying here and finding someplace nice in Sarasota. Sheesh.

Thanks for posting that article SLCPUNK!! The truth is the pollution is much worse than the media is covering. I can tell just from how my health has deteriorated since being here this winter.

Sarasota sounds lovely and I am thinking a much better choice right now. At least until this population wakes up.

What they don't realize is that they will be counting their money holding their own breath soon!!

From what I can tell from the lack of activism the majority of the population here in Salt Lake seems to be asleep!!

Yeah I'm pretty tired of all the ostriches with their heads in the sand around here as well. As soon as my home can be sold for more than I owe(which may take a while) I think I'm outta here. Tired of the yearly increases in my taxes to support the burgeoning baby makers educations around here, but that's a whole other issue (both of which are likely to NOT be addressed by any Utah government that's for sure). Oh well......
