I want to find out from everyone what you think of the Salt Lake metropolitan area real estate market this Spring. As the rest of the country struggles with the sub prime issue and faces a downward turn, it seems like we are still doing well. Is it true?

Specifically, do any of you know anything about the markets in the Olympus Cove, Cottonwood and Emigration areas? Also do you see a certain price point moving better and faster than others? Just want to get a general feel from the residents.

My house is currently on the market. It is in the Emigration Canyon. Although I am hopefully, I really want to see if I am off base. Any thoughts and help are appreciated. Thank you in advance and enjoy the nice warm weather.

Finally, Spring is here!

I'm afraid it will be slow.

Between the surplus of homes on the market, new home inventory and tighter lending standards I don't see how prices could do anything but slowly go down. It certainly isn't going to go up.

The only homes selling are under $300K. There is a glut of homes above the $300K mark.
