Ah...501 sq feet ...80 no matter what, during the summer, if it gets a little warm I turn on the ceiling fan. This past bill was 40.27. During the winter I might turn it up to 85 max just for the water pipes if it gets cold My highest bill was 100.00 I think I was stupid that month and kept the heat on all the time even if I wasn't home.

Our bills our about $250 for a 2300 square foot house. We turn ours down to around 72 for a few hours in the begining of the night. I can't stand the heat! I will pay to not have to fall asleep sweating! Otherwise it is on between 76-78. We have alot of trees covering our house so that may help.

Our 1 bedroom apartment which is 890 sq ft. is on average $60. The apartment was built in 2006. The temperature is set at 78 when we're there, 80 at asleep mode, and turn off the unit when we leave for work (approx. 10 hours).

May 2010 CPS electric charge was $87 -- ~965 kwh. Highest usage was almost 2400kwh last July.

Downstairs unit (cools ~2950 sq ft.) -- AC was set to average of 78 all month long.

Upstairs unit (cools ~950 sq. ft.) -- AC was set to average of 83 as we did not use much at all.

Additional points: two refrigerators, gas for stove, water heaters and heating, radiant barrier roof, film on all windows, no tree shade.

i keep mine off while we are gone and then run it at 80 or 78 til we go to bed. we installed energy star window units in the bedrooms so we turn off the ac when we go to sleep. my bills hit about 170ish at peak summer for a 1200 sqft house. it is 64 yrs old and have next to know attic insulation though so im fixing that now and the central unit is over 20 yrs old too. i know both of these have a serious impact on my bill but a new ac is out of the question right now. in the winter we hardly turn the heater on, we use the free heat of blankets and snuggling.

72 pretty much year around. the occassional 73/74 if its too cool.

Our house is all electric, about 2200 sq. feet and 2 stories. Our bills have been (going back starting with most recent): $168, $98, $135, $166, $149, etc.... So I guess we "average" about $150 per mo.

Same with us, all summer and we never touch it. In the winter we do some adjusting: about 72 during the day and 65 at night.

72 at night and 74 during the day. I don't look at the bill much since I do the averaging thing. Last year it was a $125 average and this year it went up to $142.

2400 sqft 2 story house with all the bedrooms upstairs. If we are downstairs watching movies I will raise it a little since it's cooler down there.

77 in the mornings and evenings (77 all day on the weekends)
81 during the weekdays when we are gone
79 at night
for our 2,000sq ft. (all electric) house our CPS bill has gotten up to about $200 for our highest summer bills, but we just got a new high efficiency heat pump A/C system and a GE heat pump water heater so I expect that number to go down substantially this summer.

Dear God. How anyone can survive indoors at over 75 degrees, especially sleeping, is beyond me. Props to you folks. Major props.

4200 sq ft: Daytime at 71/72 and nighttime at 68/70. I keep my place like a meatlocker and pay dearly for it. Roughly $400/mo CPS bill.
