Just curious. As the temps go up, what temperature do you keep your house?

Ours stays between 78-79 during the day and we turn it down to 74 at night. I'm guessing we'll move everything up a few degrees as the summer progresses.

I'm wondering if it would be better to keep it at a consistent temperature vs. lowering it at night?

About 74, but it's an apt, not a house. The tiny room with two computers in it sure gets a lot warmer than that, though.

Hey guys, in addition to posting your thermostat settings, what kind of utility bills do you have in the summer? (please post the size of the space you're cooling as well...)

Heat of the summer - 80 during the day, 74 in the early evening, and 70 during the night - this via the programmable thermostat.....right now - utility bill runs about $225 per month for 2,000 sq ft of 35 year old house with original windows In August - it has been known to near $400 if the temps are brutal....
