So has anyone gone to furniture factory warehouse? (Sealy: sales, mattresses)

My wife and I shopped and bought a nice table and chair set at a reasonable price several years ago. When they came and delivered the table, the leif was broken and they said they would repace it. The leif never came, I made several calls, went to them and they told me they don't have a spare leif that it had to be made. That never happened so I just decided to forget it. It's not worth my time. Several months after they phoned me and said they had the leif. I went to the store and they handed me a small manilla folder with a couple of screws and bolts. I told them I am missing the whole leif and they just said they would have the manager contact me.

I have since sold the table and would never shop them again. They are not quality pieces anyway. The broken leif looked like it was made of pressed wood.

Do some shopping at other stores first, to get set in your mind what good prices are for the items are that you're interested in. These liquidators tend to mark up the original prices way beyond a realistic price, to get people to focus on the huge percentage off that they're getting. 70% off of a ridiculous price might not be lower than what you'd pay at another store.

One thing to consider when shopping these bankruptcy liquidation sales, is that every one I've ever seen has been an "all sales final" event. The companies that operate these sales are outside companies selected by the Bankruptcy Court to liquidate the inventory of the bankrupt retailer, so that proceeds can be used to pay creditors.

IMO, in the early stages of these sales, the merchandise isn't marked down all that much, and by the time they really start cutting prices, it's been pretty much picked-over.

We went and looked at a bed set. They definitely marked up the prices so that they could slash it. They had a no name set with their sale price was more expensive then a Sealy set we found online. So just do your homework to ensure you are getting a good deal.

Furniture Factory Warehouse has been having a "going out of business " sale for years! Just another cheap marketing scheme. Just like how mattresses are ALWAYS on sale...?

Furniture Factory Warehouse was on the news recently...customers having a lot of problems with them. I wouldn't go near them. (think about it, if they are going out of business how are you going to resolve any problems you may have at a later date if they are closed?
I highy recommend Lacks since I bought a beautiful sofa from them and service was fantastic. Do your homework and remember, you get what you pay for.

Didn't live in SA long enough to replace any of our furniture, but I can say they've been "going out of business" for a while now. And I haven't heard ANYTHING good from those who have dealt with them.

We went there and everything was overpriced and then on sale but still expensive. Saw a tv stand for 799 and they marked it down to 610 or something. The salesman said they were closing in November, let's see if they really do.
